Our Story

In April 2019, Marguerite postponed a night with her new vacuum to meet Dakota at Harper’s Garden for his very first Hinge date. Little did we know, but we soon realized this would be the start of something very special. We spent the following year getting to know each other and enjoying the best of what Philadelphia has to offer—great people, delicious food, and a lovely city. Our first trip abroad took us to Paris and Prague, but was cut short in March 2020 due to the developing COVID situation. We enjoyed a lot of time together during lockdown, first in Philly and then in Denver after Dakota took a new job and Marguerite took a leap of faith, moving across the country to a city she’d never visited. The quality time spent together was always quality and that’s when we knew—this is meant to be. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating our union in a beautiful setting with delicious food, great wine, and in company of those we love!

Getting There

The Domaine is most easily accessed by car. We recommend flying into Charles de Galle or Paris-Orly and renting a car. Please reserve an automatic car if unfamiliar with manual. There is also a train from Paris to Cosne-sur-Loire, Clamecy, or Auxerre (nearby stations) and we would be happy to arrange transportation to and from the station for your weekend stay.

All accommodations for Friday to Sunday will be fully covered at the Domaine. We hope you'll take advantage of this convenient option and enjoy a stress-free celebration.

Please let us know if you have any special accommodations for us to consider when organizing the rooms.

Where are the accommodations on the property?

Accommodations are spread out throughout the grounds of Domaine du Réveillon. Some guests will be hosted in the Domaine while others will have rooms in the gîtes on the grounds. The gîtes will have kitchens for guests to use; the Domaine has one common kitchen that can be used but accessibility will be limited. If you would need access to a kitchen or have other special accommodations, please email us at

What amenities does the property have?

There is a swimming pool and a tennis court available for use on the property. Towels and racquets can be borrowed from the Domaine. The Chateau has wifi, but connection is limited to certain areas.

Any reminders before traveling to France?

Please remember to check your passport expiration date (must have 6 months remaining at time of travel) and don't forget to pack it! There is no visa required for travel to France from the US. France uses EU outlets, so you will need a converter to use American chargers.

What are the closest nearby towns?

There is a restaurant, bakery, and pharmacy right by the Domaine. Small towns nearby, as well as a supermarket in Donzy (15 mins). The nearest city is Auxerre (45 mins) and there are smaller towns such as Clamecy (20 mins) . For wine lovers, Chablis (Chardonnay) and Sancerre (Sauvignon Blanc) are 45 mins to an hour away.

Where will I park?

If you decide to rent a car, there will be parking at the Domaine for all guests.

Where will the wedding and reception be held?

All events will be held on-site at Domaine du Réveillon. Most events will be held outside on gravel and grass. Please dress accordingly and consider appropriate footwear.

What will the weather be like?

At the end of May in Burgundy, average temperatures are around 70 degrees during the day and will drop to 50s and 60s in the evening. As the weather is unpredictable, we will keep everyone updated as the event approaches.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

We are planning to build dietary restrictions into the RSVP but please reach out to us at if you have any further questions or specific accommodations!

May I bring a guest?

We would like the ceremony & reception to be an adults-only event. If your invitation was addressed to you "and guest," then yes! If you aren't sure, please reach out to confirm with us before bringing a plus one at

What is the dress code?

The dress code for the wedding will be formal attire (suit and tie, midi or long dresses, colors welcome). The welcome dinner will be less formal; we recommend sundresses, florals, button downs or polos, and nice pants. Sunday brunch will be casual. Since many events will be outside (weather permitting), please bring comfortable shoes and consider wedges/block heels.

Do you have a registry?

Since guests will be flying in from all over the world, the greatest gift is your presence. We appreciate the time and commitment it takes to come to our wedding more than any gift. We can't wait to spend time with our closest family and friends!

Travel & Exploring Burgundy

The Domaine is located in the Yonne area of Burgundy with nearby towns including Auxerre, Sancerre, and Chablis.

Where to Stay

We enjoy staying at Bed & Breakfasts when traveling in Burgundy. Many of these are located on historic properties that have been converted to modern inns. The owner/operators of these B&Bs can be very helpful with making restaurant reservations, organizing transport, and recommending things to do nearby.

Specific Recommendations

What to Do

Burgundy is famous for its delicious food and great wine; we recommend enjoying Burgundian cuisine at local restaurants and perhaps going on a wine tour for the wine drinkers out there. The region also has a rich history and there are many historical towns and sites to explore. For the more adventurous types, a bike tour or a hot air balloon ride can provide a different perspective. For the outdoors lovers, there are national parks nearby to visit.
